چکیده
Desorption of radiocesium (137Cs) from riverine particles into seawater strongly influences 137Cs concentrations in coastal seawater. This process is important for quantifying the input radionuclides to marine environments. Here we quantify particulate flux Abukuma River, Japan, during typhoon Hagibis and following typhoons 2019 estimate resulting increased dissolved levels Particulate export flux, 1.1 × 1012 Bq, River 4-day period (12–15 October 2019) equaled two-thirds annual 2012–2015, high Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident. The desorbed fraction was 0.061–0.12 1012Bq, its daily surrounding (1.5–3.0 1010 Bq/d) one two orders magnitude greater than estimated pre-typhoon (1.3× 108–1.0 109 Bq/d). Simulated results suggest that massive influx subsequent desorption by an order magnitude, 3.3 mBq/L (pre-typhoon level) 45–126 mBq/L. found pathway opens up new scenarios involving radionuclide dynamics boundary area river-sea system.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
Flood Water Surface Profile in Tapi River- Surat
Surat is a highly developed, thickly populated cosmopolitan character city with full of various activities going on day and night. Any natural calamity which causes loss of lives to property and infrastructure along with effects on industrial processes going on has serious impact on economy of the state. Therefore, it becomes highly necessary that flood events are studied and analyzed properly ...
متن کاملRenewed soil erosion and remobilisation of radioactive sediment in Fukushima coastal rivers after the 2013 typhoons
Summer typhoons and spring snowmelt led to the riverine spread of continental Fukushima fallout to the coastal plains of Northeastern Japan and the Pacific Ocean. Four fieldwork campaigns based on measurement of radioactive dose rates in fine riverine sediment that has recently deposited on channel bed-sand were conducted between November 2011 and May 2013 to document the spread of fallout by r...

Mainstreaming adaptation in infrastructure development is a crucial component of building resilience to climate change impacts. This Insight presents an appraisal of economic projects to support the assessment of adaptation options to river and coastal flooding in the city of Bilbao in Spain. The economic methodology to incorporate uncertainty into decision-making processes considers three appr...
متن کاملEstimation of the suspended sediment load in rivers with different hydrological methods (case study: Siahrood river in Mazandaran)
In a watershed, sediment arises due to the erosion and some factors such as pastures destruction, change users, no reasonable cultivation. That causes problems such as sedimentation in reservoirs andreduces their useful volume, reducing water quality in agricultural consumption; reduce the efficiencyof hydraulic structures and some other environmental problems. Changes in sediment load in a rive...
